My family and I live at Maza Sa Bde (Red Iron Lake).
I'm working on my 4th year at the Enemy Swim FACE program as Parent Educator. I enjoy working with parents and children in the Home Base program. My goal for this year is to add more Dakotah Language into the Born to Learn Curriculum, and have more cultural activities for families.

I am a Parent Educator for the Enemy Swim FACE Program and this will be my 3rd year. I am a mother of 5 children ages 12, 10, 6, 3 and 3 months old and I'm a foster mother to a 10 month old baby. I love working with children and parents. I believe education begins at home with parents being the first teacher. My goal is to help parents believe the same.
FACE Home Base offers visits in the privacy of your own home. Home visits are usually every week and last between 45 and 90 minutes. The Enemy Swim Day School Parent Educators will work with you to incorporate these visits into your busy schedule!

During a home visit, the Parent Educator will bring an age appropriate activity for the child and caregivers to do together.

Each activity also comes with a book for families to read together during the visit. Children are also assessed twice a year using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire.
