SUPERINTENDENT LEGAL STATUS ABD
The Superintendent is appointed by the School Board
and will serve as the chief executive officer.

The Enemy Swim Day School Boundary shall be the rural
area surrounding the
SCHOOL CENSUS
Each year, the Superintendent shall make enrollment
projections for the ensuing school year. The projection shall be the basis for
determining teacher needs and the school budget.
AVERAGE DAILY MEMBERSHIP ADB
Average daily membership shall be the total number of
students enrolled during each school day divided by the total number of school
days.

The school calendar, adopted annually by the Board,
will provide for the number of teaching and working days as required by Tribal
law. The school calendar shall include:

teachers to report and the date their services for the year will be completed.

Vacations for all staff and students
will be a part of the approved school calendar.

If it is required to close school because of
inclement weather, faulty equipment of services breakdown, epidemic, or other
disasters, the Superintendent shall have authority to close school for
protection of students and staff.
School closure days may be added to the end of the
school term and employees shall be required, as a condition of their contract,
to provide services to the end of the school term at no additional
compensation, to meet accreditation and other requirements of the School Board.
In the event of school closure, the Superintendent of
the school shall make every practical attempt to promptly notify parents,
students, and staff of the date and times of school closure. The following radio stations will be notified
KIXX, KWAT, and KBWS and these television stations will be notified KELO and KSFY.
At those times when school has been closed for classes only, all staff will be required
to report to work unless travel to their work site would endanger their health
and safety (unsafe road conditions). The Superintendent may approve
administrative leave for the employee.
Bus drivers shall be responsible for determining safe
road conditions for providing transportation services for students, and shall
provide the Superintendent with this information as a basis for determining
school closure due to inclement weather or unsafe travel conditions. Under no
circumstances shall a bus driver transport when conditions are unsafe. In the
event school closes, following the beginning of a school day, school personnel
shall ensure that parents or guardians are present in the home prior to
returning a student to their home. No bus driver shall leave a student at a
home where no parent or guardian is present to provide care and supervision for
students.
