School Board Meeting Minutes

I. Call to Order/Establish Quorum

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill at 5:10 pm.

Motion #1 by Darell Decoteau to amend the agenda at indicated (**). Seconded. Motion Carried.

1. **Student admission

Motion #2 by Darell Decoteau to admit student to ESDS under an attendance, class preparedness and discipline contract.

Died for lack of second.

Motion #3 by Timothy Peters to not approve the student request for enrollment. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Motion #4 by Darell Decoteau to approve the revision of JBC. Seconded. Motion Carried.

2. Subs – Joe Paul, **Marla Williamson & **Patricia Block

Motion #5 by Darell Decoteau to approve the sub applications for Joe Paul, Marla Williamson and Patricia Block with background checks. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Motion #6 by Darell Decoteau to go into executive session. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Motion #7 by Timothy Peters to come out of executive session. Seconded. Motion Carried.

3. Teacher –Contracts/Portfolios

Motion #8 by Timothy Peters to offer contracts to the following instructional staff with the approved increase: Amy Aker, Mary Ann Aker, Joan Biersbach, Misty Comes, Jill Dick, Jane Looyenga, Sara Lorensberg, Darla McKernan, Ann Marie Morehouse, Amy Peckham, John Roache, Rebekah Swanson, Thomas Van Orman. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Note: N. Danny Seaboy and Ryan Scoular contracts are postponed to the next regular board meeting. Teresa Shoemaker and Brenda Butler are postponed pending FACE funding for 2006-2007.

4. Maternity leave

Motion #9 by Darell Decoteau to approve the maternity leave request for Robin Johnson. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Motion #10 by Darell Decoteau to approve the minutes from the regular board meeting on February 8, 2006 and the special board meeting on March 1, 2006. Seconded. Motion Carried.
