School Board Meeting Minutes

December  6th, 2007

 

Members Present:  Ramona Bear Hill, Darell Decoteau, Evelyn Blacksmith, Janell Bear Hill, Delbert Hopkins, Jr.

 

Others Present:  Sherry Johnson, Virginia Dolney, Deb Rumpza

 

I.                    Call to Order/Establish Quorum

Quorum was established and Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill called the meeting to order at 5:12 pm.

 

Motion #1 by Darell Decoteau to approve the agenda as amended (**).  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

II.                  School Community

1.      Community

a.      NCA – update on review

b.     Bad check – policy needed

2.      Personnel

a.     Sublist- Loris Quinn, Delbert Hopkins, Sr., Vera DuMarce

Motion #2 by Darell Decoteau to add Loris Quinn (facilities), Delbert Hopkins, Sr. (facilities), and Vera DuMarce (anywhere) to the sub list pending a successful background check.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

b.     Day Care – Certification, licensure complete, compliance issues

c.      Reimbursement due

 

Note:  2nd letter sent via certified mail, another letter will be sent with a deadline for arrangements.

 

3.  Student

        a.  Approval of New Student

Motion #3 by Darell Decoteau to approve the student list as presented.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #4 by Janell Bear Hill to approve the regular board minutes from November 6, 2007 and the special meeting minutes from November 12 and 29, 2007.  Seconded.  Motion Voted Carried.

Motion # 6 by Darell DeCoteau to approve the monthly vouchers and budget.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

4.      OST Day at the Capitol**

Motion #9 by Darell DeCoteau to approve the OST Day at the Capital presentation by our OST program to include student, parent and staff member January 24, 2008.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

Secretary Hopkins updated on political discussions.
