School Board Meeting Minutes

Members Present:  Darell Decoteau, Lynn Halbert-DuBois, Ramona Bear Hill

I.                    Call to Order/Establish Quorum

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill at 5:15 pm.

 

II.                  School Community

1.      Community

a.      Concerns? Discussed bus routes.

2.      Personnel

a.     Sublist- Marge Stephenson-kitchen, Susan Lufkins-ost, Margaret Hopkins-anywhere, Jacquie Ermer-instructional

Motion #1 by Darell Decoteau to approve the sub list as presented pending successful background checks.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion #2 by Darell Decoteau to go into executive session.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #3 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to come out of executive session.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

b.     Resignation

Motion #4 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to accept the resignation of Cameron Frank.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

c.      Fourth Grade – FYI

 

3.  Student

        a.  Approval of updated Student attendance

Motion #5 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the student enrollment as presented.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

III.                Approval of Minutes

1.      October 16th

Motion #6 by Darell Decoteau to approve the regular school board minutes from October 16, 2007.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

1.      Food Service Report - none

Motion #7 by Darell Decoteau to approve the trainings:  December 8, 2007 Destination Imagination Allan Owen, Keri Guy, Becky Bergquist; January 7-12, 2008 EMT Dennis Youngman; March 18, 2008 Insurance Meeting Deb Rumpza; December 3-4, 2007NCA Review Committee Sherry Johnson.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

3.      Monthly Voucher and Budget Approval 

Motion #8 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the monthly vouchers and financial statements as presented.

Motion #9 by Darell Decoteau to approve holiday incentives the same as previous years.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

2.      Student gifts from the school board

Motion #10 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve magazines as the student gifts.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

3.      Interview Date

Motion #11 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to set the interview date for Monday, October 12, 2007 starting at 4 pm.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #12 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the 5/6 girls and boys basketball teams to participate in the Castlewood BB Tournament.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.
