School Board Meeting Minutes

October 12th, 2005

Members Present: Ramona Bear Hill, Lynn Halbert-DuBois, Timothy Peters, Evelyn Blacksmith, Della Eastman, Nicky Crawford

Others Present: Sherry Johnson, Deb Rumpza, Virginia Dolney, Kelly Charron

I. Call to Order/Establish Quorum

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Bear Hill at 4:15pm.

Review of Policy G was continued.

Motion #1 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to amend the agenda as noted (**). Seconded. Motion Carried.

II. Community

A. Community Concerns

Kelly Charron from Northeast Mental Health did a brief presentation.

B. Personnel

1. Subs – K. Robertson, L. Johnson, **Charlotte Grey – Experience Works

Motion #2 by Della Eastman to approve Kelly Robertson (anywhere) and Luke Johnson (facilities only) as subs pending a background check and approve Charlotte Grey through Experience Works. Seconded. Motion Carried.

2. Facilities

Motion #3 by Timothy Peters to approve Ed Johnson as the facilities manager for the remainder of this contract year with review and permanent status during the 2006-2007 contract. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Motion #4 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the regular board meeting minutes from September 14, 2005, the special board meeting minutes from September 16, 2005 and October 3, 2005. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Motion #6 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the vouchers and the financial statements as presented. Seconded. Motion Carried.

Motion #7 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the advertisement for audit proposals for the 2004-2005 fiscal year. Seconded. Motion Carried.

A. Policy Development Meeting

Motion #8 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to set the next policy meeting for Monday, October 24, 2005 starting at 4:00 pm for policy review. Seconded. Motion Carried.

B. Christmas Gifts

Motion #9 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve magazines as the holiday gifts for the students this year. Seconded. Motion Carried.
