Enemy Swim Day School

                              Special School Board Meeting Minutes

                                               August 2, 2007

 

Members Present:  Ramona Bear Hill, Evelyn Blacksmith (left @2:30 Family Emergency), Darell Decoteau, and Lynn Halbert-DuBois

 

Others Present:  Sherry Johnson, Deb Rumpza, Janelle Bear Hill, Audrey Locke, Liz Anderson, Eileen Johnson, Karen Zubke

          

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill at 2:00 pm.

 

1.       Interviews for Part-time Kitchen and Night Facilities

Motion #1 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to offer the part-time kitchen position to Thelma White with conditions and completion of a background check and to offer the night facilities position to 1. Owen German and ranking 2. Jim Strutz, Jr., 3. Cole Bernard, 4. David Robertson pending completion of a background check.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

2.       Meeting Date of Regular Board Meeting

Motion #2 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to change the regular board meeting to Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 5:00 pm.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

3.       Enemy Swim District Executives / Day Care

Discussion was held between the Enemy Swim District Executives and the Enemy Swim Day School Board regarding the possibility of moving Shining Stars Day Care over to Enemy Swim Day School.  Concerns were voiced regarding over-all available slots, slots for District Members, drop-in availability, over-all management, financial support from the District.  A Memorandum of Agreement will be drawn up between the District and the School.  The school will hold interviews for a Day Care Provider/Coordinator as was advertised in the local papers.

 

Chair person Ramona Bear Hill declared the meeting adjourned at 5:40 pm.
