I.                    Call to Order/Establish Quorum

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order at 5:10 pm by Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill.

 

Motion #1 by Janell Bear Hill to amend the agenda as indicated (**).  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

a.      Day Care resignation-advertise

Motion #2 by Janell Bear Hill to accept the resignation from Toni Owen and to advertise the day care co-director position with a CDA or an AA in early childhood.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

b.      **Jessica Squirrel Coat GEAR UP

Motion #3 by Darell Decoteau to approve Jessica Squirrel Coat for GEAR UP para-educator.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

c.      **Parent Educator and Para Educator readvertise?

Motion #4 by Darell Decoteau to re-advertise the FACE Parent Educator and the SpEd para-educator positions.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

III.                Approval of Minutes

1.      June 11th

Motion #5 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the minutes from the regular board meeting on June 11, 2008.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Board August 13, 2008; Sherry Johnson Workgroup August 14-15, 2008; ESDS Staff Cultural Trng August 18, 2008; ESDS New Staff Orientation August 19, 2008, Re-Certify/new staff CPR August 22, 2008; Joan Biersbach and Darla McKernan LDA February 25-27, 2009.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

3.      Monthly Voucher and Budget Approval

Motion #7 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the monthly vouchers and the financial reports as presented.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

4.      Bus Replacement

Motion #8 by Darell Decoteau to take bids for a replacement/new bus.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

5.      Budget 08-09

Motion #9 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the 2008-2009 proposed budgets.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

6.      OSEC contract

Motion #10 by Janell Bear Hill to approve the OSEC contract as outlined in the contract.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

7.      **Plow

Motion #11 by Darell Decoteau after reviewing the price quotes, to approve the purchase the 1999 Chevy pick-up with plow as presented from Cody MacConnell.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

8.      **Promethian contract

Motion #12 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the Promethian training contract for Melissa Hayes and Kari Haberling for $1000 plus mileage with conditions.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.
