School Board Meeting Minutes

June 14th, 2006 5:00 pm

 

Members Present:  Ramona Bear Hill, Timothy Peters, Darell Decoteau, Lynn Halbert-DuBois

 

Others Present:  Sherry Johnson, Deb Rumpza, Virginia Dolney, Amalika Jackson

 

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill at 5:00pm.

 

Amalika Jackson was interviewed by the Board for the teaching position.

 

Motion #1 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to amend the agenda has indicated (***).  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion #2 by Darell Decoteau to go into executive session for personnel reasons.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #3 by Darell Decoteau to come out of executive session.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #4 by Darell Decoteau to approve the Extended School Year contracts for Darla McKernan and Amy Aker for the approved budgeted amount.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #5 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to advertise for a part-time nurse.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #6 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the minutes from the regular board meeting.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #7 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the following travel/training requests:  Sandi Bernard, Jane Ryan and Sonia Rouillard to Para-educator June 5-6, 2006; Carolyn Soles Native Access July 5-9, 2006; Sherry Johnson Science Standards July 10-13, 2006; Lou Jorgenson Nutrition August 1-4, 2006; NASIS Team to Infinite Campus August 14-18, 2006; Becky Bergquist, Renee Kwasniewski, Rebecca Dargatz, Julie Grothaus, Deb Anderson, Jesse Piersenski, 2-4 group leaders 21st Century After School August 15-16,2006; Brenda Butler, Kendra McIntyre FACE August 30-September 1, 2006.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #8 Timothy Peters to approve the monthly vouchers and financial reports as presented.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #9 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the Foreman Sales bus bid for $62,622 due to engine, service, tires, wheel base.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #10 by Darell Decoteau to have the garage from the old school site moved to the new school site.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #11 by Darell Decoteau to approve the board travel to NISBA – Denver, CO July 23-26, 2006.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #12 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve Dr. Johnson to pursue the DDN System.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.
