School Board Meeting

May 9th, 2007

I.                    Call to Order/Establish Quorum

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill at 5:10 pm.

 

Motion #1 by Darell Decoteau to amend the agenda as indicated (**).  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

II.                 School Community

Motion #2 by Darell Decoteau to approve the student list as presented.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Discussion on request received by the Board.  No action was taken.

 

III.               Approval of Minutes

1.      April 10th

2.      April 24th

Motion #3 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the regular school board minutes from April 10, 2007 and the special board meeting minutes from April 24, 2007.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

IV.              Financial Report

1.      Food Service Report – FYI

2.      Training Report **additions

Motion #4 by Darell Decoteau to approve the training request for Lou Jorgenson to attend SNA.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

 

3.      Monthly Voucher and Budget Approval

Motion #5 by Della Eastman to approve the monthly vouchers and financial report as presented.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

1.      Extra Duty Advertisement

Motion #6 by Darell Decoteau to approve the extra duty openings and advertise them.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

2.      Interview date

Motion #7 by Della Eastman to re-advertise the student services position.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #8 by Darell Decoteau to set interviews for May 24, 2007 starting at 8:30 am.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

3.      TANF Staff Proposal

Directed to submit as soon as possible the budget as presented in previous years.  Supplemental budget may be considered at a later date.

Motion #8 by Della Eastman to not join the CAU at this time.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

6.      **Construction Planning Meeting Date

Motion #9 by Darell Decoteau to set the construction planning meeting for May 14, 2007 at 8 am.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

7.      **Counselor advertisement

Motion #10 by Evelyn Blacksmith to advertise for a counselor and a bus driver.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.
