School Board Meeting Minutes

January 9th, 2007

 

Members Present:  Ramona Bear Hill, Darell Decoteau, Evelyn Blacksmith, Lynn Halbert-DuBois

 

Others Present:  Sherry Johnson, Deb Rumpza, Virginia Dolney

 

I.                    Call to Order/Establish Quorum

Quorum was established and the meeting was called to order by Chairperson Ramona Bear Hill at 5:05 pm.

 

Motion #1 by Darell Decoteau to amend the agenda as indicated (**).  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

II.                  School Community

1.      Auditors

Auditors from Eide Bailly presented the 2006-2007 audit report.

Motion #2 by Evelyn Blacksmith to accept the 2006-2007 audit report.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #3 by Darell Decoteau to go into executive session.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #4 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to come out of executive session.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

a.     Sublist- Lacey Redwing, Miranda Eastman, **Megan Kriech, **Paul Begay

Motion #5 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the substitute applications for Lacey Redwing, Miranda Eastman, Megan Kriech and Paul Begay pending successful background checks.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

b.     Superintendent Contract

Motion #6 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the Dr. Sherry Johnson, Superintendent contract for 2008-2009.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #7 by Evelyn Blacksmith to approve the team teaching for Kindergarten.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

 

        b.  Approval of New Students

Motion #8 by Darell Decoteau to approve the new students enrolling in ESDS.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #9 by Darell Decoteau to approve the regular board minutes from December 6, 2007 and the special board meeting minutes from December 14, 2007.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #10 by Lynn Halbert-DuBois to approve the trainings:  January 16, 2008 Darla McKernan Alternative Testing; February 4-5, 2008 Carolyn Soles GEAR UP; February 14, 2008 New Staff Learning Focused; February 15, 2008 All Staff Learning Focused Math; February 26, 2008 Rebekah Swanson, Sara Baertsch, Misty Comes, Amalika Jackson RTI; May 5-6, 2008 Virginia Dolney Principals Conference.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.

Motion #11 by Darell Decoteau to approve the monthly vouchers and financial reports as presented.  Seconded.  Motion Carried.
